The Rokkakkei means Hexagon in Japanese. This shape is the basis of our design. A Japanese knife requires craftsmanship, which is also reflected in the Rokkakkei. Just like the refined Japanese knives, the Rokkakkei is made with dedication and only use of high-quality materials. Proper storage ensures that your knives continue to perform optimally. The stylish design of the Rokkakkei stores your knives safely and is also a beautiful display in your (outdoor) kitchen. Thanks to its handy design, it can be used anywhere.
The strength of Rokkakkei is simplicity. The optimal balance is created by using shape, weight and material. The Rokkakkei is made entirely by hand, making each item unique. The Rokkakkei offers space for 6 knives.
Two crafts and a common motive: Nobody knows more about knives like Elwin. In his search for the perfect knife block, he contacted René, an expert in woodworking (GrillopMaat). By joining forces they came up with an innovative and unique solution. Both gentlemen found their inspiration for the shape in the handles of Japanese traditional knives. The simplicity of the traditional handle forms the basis of the shape and the name: Rokkakkei.
