The Homura series are forged in-house by the master blacksmith mr. Itsu Doi. Mr. Doi's unique style is recognizable in the series, he only works with Aogami blue # 2 steel. The heavy blade ensures that the balance point is far forward. The outside is matted by blasting with glass granules. The handles are made of Zelkova wood.
