The Haruyuki Zanpa is named after the ocean waves, the whirlpool pattern may remind you of the swirling water. The blade is made of 2 layers of 'spiral' stainless steel on the outside and has a core of AUS10 steel. In practice easy to maintain with a whetstone or fine ceramic shapening rod.

 

The knives are light in weight and have a refined finish. The edge on the back is neatly rounded and the inside of the heel of the knife is also polished, which ensures a nice pinch grip.
